The Links at Brunello Construction Progress!
(February 17, 2014)
The Links at Brunello is on schedule to see all 18 holes seeded down in June, July and August of 2014. Construction of the course has been moving along on schedule to meet the seeding dates. Mainline and fairway irrigation commenced the first week of September with 4 fairways complete. The mainline connection through 4 holes to the 5,000,000 gallon irrigation pond will be complete later this fall.
Ten holes have had the green sites signed off and approved by course architect Thomas McBroom with six being fully constructed to the USGA specification. Fairway shaping and mainline drainage infrastructure is complete on all holes with the exception of Holes 2, 3 and the Practice Range which will be completed in the early spring of 2014.
The 2 skybridges which link the golf course across the Timberlea Village Parkway were approved by HRM Regional Council in September and were installed in November and December, 2013. Along with providing access for golfers across the parkway, the bridges will also serve as the irrigation link for the golf course.
A lot of work has been accomplished on the course since the start of construction in October of 2012, and the schedule is to have the Links at Brunello open for play in 2015

You'll Have More than One Way to go Green
We all want to live in a place where the air is fresh and healthy, a place that's going to
give people who want an active lifestyle the options they need to live life to the fullest.
The Links at Brunello. Going green is more than just a golf game.
We don't know of any community that wants to protect the environment as much as we do. After all, the environment is an investment we all share. That's why when we were designing The Links at Brunello, we decided to utilize the unique landscape features in ways that would give you the opportunity to enjoy them to the fullest, for generations to come.
Our 18-hole golf course is a perfect example. It's designed by world-famous landscape
architect and golf course designer Tom McBroom. If you know golf at all, you'll recognize his name as the designer of award winning courses like Bell Bay Golf Club in Baddeck and Crowbush Cove in PEI.
He's noted for golf course designs that are sensitive to the environment and yet provide a degree of challenge that golf enthusiasts crave.
The 7,100 yard course will offer bent grass greens and fairways, numerous white sand bunkers, and multiple teeing areas - making it potentially the best course in the region. In fact, the facilities will be so good, we're expecting The Links at Brunello to attract corporate tournaments, in addition to you and your neighbours.
